The renovation of this Edwardian home in Glenhuntly Road was my very first renovation after achieving my builder’s registration. My client, Sharon, waited over a year for me to get my licence, just so I could renovate her home. It was such a privilege for me!
The chimney was removed the create an extra square meter in both living rooms and double brick walls were removed to open up new kitchen and living spaces. New double-glazed windows and doors were installed and a new larger bathroom was created to house a more accessible shower and restored claw foot bath. As my first ever renovation, it was continuously stressful, as the responsibility I had been given to present my client’s perfect home was entirely mine. It was worth it though, as we all created something truly profound. Sharon was thrilled and we are still in contact to this day.
